Bally Chohan FIFA 2010 Update – Do or Die match for England

June 23rd, 2010 by bally No comments »

Bally Chohan is amazed by the results that FIFA 2010 has produced till now. A last world cup runner up France is already out of contention. France made an early exit from the world cup yesterday. France lost to South Africa 1-2 in their last league match yesterday.  England will play Slovenia in their last league match today.  Slovenia is leading Group C. If England lose to Slovenia today than this will be the first time in the history of World Cup that they won’t be able to make to the second round.

Bally Chohan feels that England is in this situation because of goalkeeper Robert Green’s gaffe. England was going strong 1-0 in their match against Algeria when Robert Green’s butter finger allowed Algeria to equalize.  English midfielder Steven Gerrard told media persons that they have to improve in case they want to stay in the tournament. Gerrard said that the team knows, they have to win the match against Algeria at all cost. He is very much sure of England team’s handling the pressure.

Bally Chohan says that you can clearly see the pressure on players like Wayne Rooney. Wayne Rooney has failed get untracked in the earlier matches of the tournament.  Now to qualify for second round of FIFA World Cup 2010, the only option left with English team is to beat Algeria. There is also a slim chance of England making to the second round even if it is able to draw its match against Algeria. However than they have to be dependent on United States vs. Algeria match and hope that the match ends in a draw. Also they will have to overcome two goal deficits that Americans have scored. Therefore the best is to win and move to the second round of the tournament.

The English coach Capello will have to look for the replacement in place of midfielder Jamie Carragher. Jamie Carragher will be out of the game after picking up two yellow cards in the previous games.  On the other hand Slovenia is just looking for a draw to move to the second round of the tournament. They defeated Algeria and held United States to a 2-2 draw in their earlier games of the tournament.

In another game the South Korea held Nigeria to a 2-2 draw to advance to the second round of the tournament.  South Koreans added a memorable chapter to the soccer history of South Korea by advancing to last sixteen stage of the world cup.  South Korean captain Park Ji-Sung informed media persons, that his team has achieved its first goal of advancing to the last sixteen stages for the first time away from home. He exuded confidence that the players know the importance of them moving to last 16 stage.

In yesterday’s game Kalu Uche gave Nigerian team lead in 12th minute. However South Korea came back strongly and scored two goals in succession to lead the game 2-1. Nigeria earned and converted penalty in 69th minute of the game to draw level with South Korea.

Bally Chohan favorite team Argentina beat Greece 2-0 in group B. Now Argentina will take on Mexico on Sunday at Johannesburg and Uruguay will take on South Korea on Saturday at Port Elizabeth.

June 20th, 2010 by bally No comments »

Denmark football team knocked Cameroon out of FIFA world cup by beating Cameroon by two goals to 1. This was Cameroon who struck first, however Denmark came back strongly and struck twice to get win the match by 2-1.

Samuel Eto, who was adjudged African footballer of the year scored first goal of the match to put Cameroon ahead of Denmark. However Denmark struck twice after that to win the match 2-1.  This defeat means that the West Africans are now out of world cup contention although they have one game left in the tournament.  Netherland from this group has already secured its berth in the second round i.e. knock out round of the world cup.

The Dutch team moved to second round courtesy their 1-0 win over Japan on Saturday. With this win the Dutch team moved to 6 points and is leading team in the Group E. Bally Chohan thought that the Dutch team played very much below average in their game against Japan. Although the Dutch team was able to win game against Japan by a margin of 1-0, it was still very disappointing display by them.

Bally Chohan feels that the Dutch victory came by virtue of yet another disappointing blunder by goalkeeper. The goalkeeper in question this time was Fiji Kawashima.

Bally Chohan says that apart from Netherland, the other European teams have displayed a very disappointing game in this world cup.  Moreover one of the pre world cup favorites France has suffered a setback when their so called fiery striker Nicolas Anelka was sent back home on the charges of indiscipline.  He is said to have insulted French coach Raymond Domenech after their defeat in the hands of Mexico. Moreover Raymond Domenech refused to apologies and hence sent home by team officials.

Bally Chohan says that France is not the only European team that has disappointed in this FIFA world cup. The another upsets of the tournament are Germany lost to Serbia, Swiss beating Spain and moreover England and Italy have managed to draw their games. English football team was in fact booed by its fan after they played 0-0 draw against Algeria.

Bally Chohan News Update – Close shave for Air India passengers

June 15th, 2010 by bally No comments »

Bally Chohan has come to know that around hundred people on board an Air India plane (IC-133) on its way from Mumbai-Bhopal-Indore-Delhi had a close shave this morning. As per media reports two tyres of the left landing gear of IC-133 deflated as soon as they landed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Tuesday morning.

There were hundred passengers on board Air India flight IC-133 on its way from Mumbai to Delhi via Bhopal and Indore. In addition to hundred passengers there were six crew members also on board. This incident happened while the aircraft landed at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport at 10:58 AM. One of the engineers at the ground first noticed two deflated tyres at the time when aircraft was taxing towards parking bay. The engineers noticed spark emanating due to friction of two deflated tyres. The engineers in turn alerted the pilot and told him to stop aircraft immediately. The pilot immediately stopped aircraft Airbus-320.

Water and foam was sprinkled immediately by the fire tenders to cool the aircraft’s undercarriage so that the fire can be prevented. The entire passenger in aircraft arrived safely.

Bally Chohan has come to know that this was not due to tyre burst since the pilot of aircraft did not noticed any unusual jerk. As updated by sources in civil aviation ministry, this could be result of tyres getting deflated as soon as the aircraft landed and was on its way to taxing.
